Our recently released albums Girl in Blue and Mood Swings, are each a collection of 15 timeless jazz/pop songs performed by The Session 8 Band, a group of musicians brought together by songwriter Les Veale. The band is made up of accomplished session musicians, with 8 core members, including vocalists Tiu de Haan (Girl In Blue) and Tim Murray & Maggie Reeday (Mood Swings). Les’s musical direction has been greatly influenced by Tiu’s vocal style and a mutual love of popular jazz songs. Les, also being a long time fan of pop music, has combined these influences, which have been the inspiration for these jazz/pop albums of original songs.
