Les Veale, founder and MD of LVM Publishing
Top 4 influences of thousands:
The Beatles, radio, the natural world and 1967.
Les has a broad taste, love and appreciation of music but the one thing that has always pinned his ears to the radio is a great tune. Les says he’s had a good ear for those catchy tunes and hooks from a young age, when he was also fascinated by drums, though he had to wait till his teens to get his first kit. He started to play in a pop covers band and soon realised he wanted to make a living out of music. Les then went to music college to broaden his musical knowledge, where he also took up piano and guitar. At college he got a taste for writing music and decided he wanted to get into songwriting, publishing and making records. After many diversions, Les is now achieving that aim and thanks the guys that have helped him to set up and run LVM Publishing.
